SkyCache is the tool for those who create and offer tourist packages and need to check/adjust the package price on a daily basis as flight prices vary on different departure dates.
SkyCache is an inventory of flight search results performed with GDS, Lowcost and NDC Aggregator access, on specific destinations with a range of departure dates (and any connected return flights).
The results, in JSON syntax, are stored in a database and can be queried via web services.
SkyCache has a back-office web interface that allows you to define search parameters (fare type, passenger type, baggage and maximum stopovers) and also allows you to define the departure dates of the flights in the searches to be performed and when these searches should be performed.
SkyCache allows you to define certain filter elements, such as the maximum amount and maximum flight duration.
SkyCache allows you to count all queries made on the various product sources used.
Queries to web services to retrieve search results are designed to return information to a package quotation system and not to provide results to online end users.
SkyCache includes these new features:
• the system for uploading results from searches performed in SKYTOOL 4 CONSOLIDATOR to SkyCache
• the high-frequency query system (cache for end-users)
• web services to extract the least expensive flights on a range of departure airports and destinations within a certain time range for flight execution. This can be useful for portals that want to suggest low-cost flights to customers willing to adjust their travel plans to the least expensive flight dates.
• web services to create a flight ID (type AZ137) for each flight and its valuation based on the execution date or, for the same execution date, the variation in its cost based on the flight’s value.
• web services to create each flight ID (e.g. AZ137) and its value based on the date of execution or, for the same date of execution, the variation in its cost based on the distance between the date of quotation and the flight departure date.
